About the Role

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy, undertaking a broad and dynamic scope of work to build the profile of Spectran Group and key personnel within the organisation.

The role is responsible for protecting, enhancing, and building the reputation of all brands within Spectran Group through community engagement, government and stakeholder relations and earned media and communications.

The Marketing Specialist is an active contributor within the management team, and a key part of the role is a passion to contribute and drive team culture.

Key Position Duties

Main duties consist of the following:

Strategy and Planning

Engage with divisional managers to coordinate business integration and implement and update the Marketing Strategy

  • Engage with General Managers to develop and implement a coordinated Marketing Strategy
  • Create and implement Social Media Strategy
  • Develop and manage marketing expenditure to budget
  • Manage internal communications
  • Ensure all messaging and communications align with brand values
  • Conduct market research and identify partnership opportunities or related stakeholders for cross-promotional opportunities

Digital

  • Capture, edit, prepare and post thoughtful, relevant social media content from across all divisions
  • Design, produce and distribute promotional collateral for digital and print
  • Create and maintain communication channels both internally and externally
  • Coordinate Google Adwords campaigns and other paid campaigns
  • Daily monitoring of reviews and other feedback across digital platforms
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for digital partnerships/expansion
  • Update company website content as required
  • Provide monthly web and social media report and present concise interpretation of data
  • Develop positive working relationships with service providers

Community Engagement

  • Support and attend events and marketing activations
  • Support key personnel with promotional and branding opportunities
  • Coordinate mutual partnerships, sponsorships and earned media activities
  • Facilitate relationship building and communication between internal stakeholders and industry and government where required
  • Attend relevant networking events
  • Ensure all opportunities are managed to deliver the expected results
  • Identify and advise on potential opportunities that develop the Spectran brand

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be successful in this challenging role, you will need the ability to build strong relationships, be flexible and responsive and have the ability to manage and prioritise numerous projects in accordance with deadlines.

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing/branding
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, balancing multiple projects and deadlines within budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences
  • Ability to produce high quality content across a range of channels
  • Experience working with agencies across digital and advertising and negotiating with media sales teams
  • Ability to produce high quality, relevant content across a range of channels
  • Design skills, including an eye for detail and experience in Adobe Creative suite and/or Canva
  • Proficiency in Office 365 with experience in monitoring and managing SharePoint essential
  • Experience in WordPress CMS essential
