History, Values and Vision

Spectran Group is a family-owned, Tasmanian operated company. We embody the values of respect, teamwork, initiative, honesty, loyalty and positivity.

Born out of the desire to offer contractors around the state with a single ‘complete’ service provider that they could easily liaise with and rely on across varying project requirements, Spectran launched its civil, transport and traffic divisions.

After gaining insight into how we could further enhance our offering to meet customers’ requirements, Spectran extended their service remit to include waste and more broadly, environmental management. We now manage Tasmania’s only EPA-licenced undercover storage site for contaminated soils and bulk liquid products.

Furthering our commitment to sustainability, in March 2021 we launched our state-of-the-art reprocessing facility, ReProcess Tas at our Risdon Vale location. The facility is the first of its kind in Tasmania, offering the construction industry a facility capable of reprocessing old building materials, turning them into high quality, reusable landscape and subbase products.

With the opening of ReProcess Tas completing our suite of companies, Spectran rebranded in 2021, to become Spectran Group. The company now comprises eight divisions, employing 200 staff state-wide to run our 24/7 operations.

Our story is evidence of our continuous improvement mindset as we endeavour to find safer and more efficient ways to accomplish our project objectives, while working tirelessly to achieve them with quality workmanship and excellence.
