Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant

Spectran Civil was engaged as the initial contractor on site for the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) program, commencing with a $250K package. Due to successful delivery and consistent performance, Spectran’s scope was incrementally expanded, resulting in a sustained presence on site for the entirety of the project.

Scope of Works Included:

• Demolition and asbestos removal
• Water plumbing and pipeline installation
• Form, reinforcement, and pour (FRP) concrete works
• Earthworks and pipeline installation
• Side road construction including subgrade preparation and pavements
• Derwent Depot Relocation works
• Electrical services: conduit installation and LV wiring
• Stormwater infrastructure installation
• Ductile iron valve installation
• Polyethylene pipeline welding
• Kerb and gutter construction
• Wetland cut and fill operations
• Sewage pond infill and dewatering of septic systems
• Quality assurance and project close-out works

Spectran Civil’s final package included the rehabilitation and infill of disused sewage treatment ponds, showcasing their capacity to manage complex and environmentally sensitive works.
