Maria Island Infrastructure Upgrades

Spectran Group delivered a major civil infrastructure upgrade program on Maria Island, providing essential utility, drainage, and transport infrastructure to support the long-term operation and resilience of one of Tasmania’s most significant natural and heritage destinations.

Delivered within a remote and environmentally sensitive national park, the project required meticulous planning, complex marine logistics, and close coordination with Parks & Wildlife Service to minimise environmental impacts while maintaining visitor access and operational continuity.

Scope of Works

  • Construction of wastewater, drainage, and underground utility infrastructure.

  • Airstrip drainage rehabilitation, culvert replacement, and stormwater improvements.
